Hi everyone! My name is Kim Spies and I will be the Commissioner External Affairs of Synergy. This means I will be the contact person for all companies our study association cooperates with and I will be responsible for establishing new collaborations.

I was born and raised in Duiven, close to Arnhem, but moved to Nijmegen a couple of months ago. In my spare time I like to go to my horse, which I have taken care of for almost 7 years now. Unfortunately, I can’t take him with me to Nijmegen, so someone else must take care of him during the week. Besides horses I like to go for a run, so maybe you will spot me running in Nijmegen sometimes. Feel free to join, although I don’t run that fast. Furthermore, I like to play on the piano and to prepare some nice meals. During holidays I love to travel and spend my days on a boat, for example sailing.

Last year I was part of the Introduction Committee. Together we organized several activities during the introduction week, such as the Berendonck day. I was also part of the Synergy Week Committee. This committee organized a couple of interactive sessions with speakers and as a highlight the Synergy Gala. In February this year I went on the ski trip with Synergy, which was really fun!

I am really looking forward to the upcoming year and I hope to see all of you soon at our activities or in our Synergy room!

Kind regards,

Kim Spies
