Dear active members, The board wants to express their gratitude for your efforts in one of our committees by organizing an event only for committee members on the 22nd of December. We will kick off the activity at 17.00 and what we're going to do will remain a surprise. So block the date in your agenda and we hope to see you there!  You don't need to pay for this acivity, because it's a gesture of our appreciation. Lustrum Activity: Beers, Balls and Bowling

Top-tier 'Bowling' might not sound interesting at first. However, if you combine it with friends, snacks and unlimited beers , it turns into an epic sport! Synergy welcomes their members to show off their best throw during this Lustrum Activity  at Olround. The activity will take place on the 29th of November. It starts at 17:15h and lasts until 19:00h. During this activity, a few snacks will be served. Also, there will be unlimited beers to stay well hydrated during the Lustrum Activity! Members pay for the beers, balls and bowling just €8,50 and Non-Members will pay €23,50.  You can unsubscribe up until 24 hours before the start of the activity. Synergy Drink: Synergy's Fright Night

After the exams it’s time for a drink, don’t you think? The theme of the night is Halloween, thus dress up as spooky as possible. The drink will take place on November 8th at Heidi's skihut, starting from 20:00h. Make sure that you're on time because there will be a free barrel! During this drink, the location for the Atlas Trip 2022 will be announced. Open Synergy Party: SYNSATION WHITE

Now that the exams are finished, it is time to party! The first open-synergy party is here again, and therefore you cannot miss out on this one! on Wednesday the 10th of November, El Sombrero will be turned into a SYNSATION WHITE party. The dancefloor will be filled with blacklights, so put on your nicest white clothes to shine bright like a diamond. The party will start at 20.00h and everyone has to be out before midnight, so don’t be late! Entrance will be free for members, so don't forget to bring your membercard ! General Members Meeting

*Unfortunetly, this event is for Dutch speaking students only* On Monday the 15 th  of November, the new board of Synergy will present their policy plan and financial plan during the General Members Meeting. The General Members Meeting will be in Dutch. The General Members Meeting will  start at 18:30h . You are welcome to join us from 18.15 hours for a cup of coffee or tea at De Waagh. You have to subscribe for the General Members Meeting via the Synergy website. The agenda, the policy plan, the attachments, and the records of the last General Members Meeting will be sent to you then. If you would like to receive the financial policy plan as well, you can request it by sending an email to our secretary. All the documents will also be available at the Synergy Office (EOS 00.180) from the 1st of November. If you do not understand Dutch, our secretary can send you a summary in English. You can send in questions in advance regarding all documents. Please send your questions before the 11th of November to  If you cannot attend the General Members Meeting, please send an e-mail to . Business Trip

November 16th, 2021 - November 19th, 2021

Are you excited to visit interesting companies and meet nice people during other fun activities at the same time? Then the Business Trip is exactly what you are looking for! During this three-day trip from November 16th to 19th, we will take you with us to several companies and at the same time introduce you to the city. If you are a Synergy member you pay only €95,- and non members will pay the €126,80. This includes: a bus trip from Nijmegen, overnight stay with breakfast, fun activities, two dinners and of course lots of fun. If you want to join, sign up now for the Business Trip! Keep in mind that there will be a drink before the Business Trip with everyone on the 18th of October at 19:00 at Café De Fuik, Nijmegen.  Make sure you have a valid coronavirus entry pass! The subscriptions will close October 8th.  It's possible to subscribe with a buddy by entering his or her name below in the comment box.   You can unsubscribe for the event until the 13th of October.  We will raffle between everyone that subscribed. BDO Insight Day

Ben jij een wo-student of zit je in de laatste fase van je hbo-opleiding? Ben je nieuwsgierig welke werkzaamheden een startend accountant in Audit & Assurance uitvoert? Wil je erachter komen of BDO en jij bij elkaar passen? Dan is de Insight Day zeker iets voor jou.  BDO Insight Day Op  donderdag 18 november  nemen wij jou graag mee in een dag van een Assistent Accountant en leer je BDO beter kennen. De Insight Day staat volledig in het teken van live ervaren hoe het is om in de accountancy te werken. Dit doe je op ons kantoor én bij een klant. Je gaat dus echt op pad, onder begeleiding van een ervaren medewerker. Wij hopen je deze dag op ons kantoor te kunnen ontvangen (uiteraard conform RIVM richtlijnen). Waarom de Insight Day anders is dan een inhousedag De Insight Day staat volledig in het teken van écht ervaren hoe het is om in de accountancy te werken. Je gaat dus ook écht mee naar een klant en zelf werkzaamheden uitvoeren onder begeleiding van een ervaren Assistent Accountant. De dag start voor jou bij het BDO-kantoor in de buurt. Hier word je samen met de andere studenten persoonlijk ontvangen door de partner en maak je kennis met de medewerkers op de vestiging. Ook leer je jouw buddy alvast beter kennen en kom je meer te weten over de BDO organisatie. Vervolgens is het tijd voor het echte werk. Jouw buddy neemt je mee naar zijn of haar team bij de klant. Hier kom je alles te weten over de klant, het controleproces en natuurlijk: de werkzaamheden. Onder begeleiding van jouw buddy ga je verschillende controles uitvoeren en in gesprek met de klant. Zo ervaar je optimaal hoe het is om bij BDO te werken. Vanuit de klant reis je aan het einde van de werkdag met je buddy door naar een dinerlocatie in de regio. Hier ontmoet je de studenten en medewerkers van andere vestigingen en sluiten we de dag gezamenlijk af met een heerlijk diner en valt er ook nog een prijs te winnen. Business Course Audit by Deloitte

There is nothing better for your personal development than taking a step outside of your comfort zone. Deloitte can help you with this! During the Business Course, your personal development is central, as is the introduction to Deloitte and the versatility of the Accountancy profession. You will experience what it is like to work in the Audit department at Deloitte. This year we will travel to a unique place in our own country where you will get to work in an innovative setting. Together with other ambitious students you work on a real-life case in which you go through a complete Audit cycle. You will also be challenged on a personal level. During the Business Course you will have the opportunity to ask all your questions to professionals and they will coach you on an individual level to get the best out of yourself. Finally, attending fun activities on location will of course not be missing. In addition to the hard work, we also make a lot of time for fun! Nijmegen Career Event 2021

This event is the perfect opportunity to meet your possible future employer during one of the many workshops, lectures, presentations or wine and taste moments The Nijmegen Career Event, in short NCE, is an annual event with the aim of connecting students and companies. At this event, several companies show through presentations and workshops how students can apply their knowledge with regard to business administration and economics in practice.
