The fourth (lustrum) edition of the Management Business Fair will take place on Tuesday 28 February! During this fair you can informally meet more than 30 organizations and visit an inspiring speech by Harry Piekema!
But there is more than just networking with organizations. During the fair you can:
- Enjoy a free lunch
- Visiting the opening speech by none other than Harry Piekema
- Have your CV checked by one of the career officers
- Have your LinkedIn and CV profile picture taken by a professional photographer
- Attend a networking session to express your interest in an organization
- Enjoy a networking drink at the end of the fair
The program:
The fair will take place on the ground floor of the Elinor Ostrom Building from 1:15 PM - 4:00 PM. You do not have to register for the exhibition itself. You can walk around and talk to all the recruiters of the companies you are interested in.
Opening lecture by Harry Piekema (Theaterzaal C: 12.30 - 13.15)
The Management Business Fair will be festively opened by none other than Harry Piekema! He is not only known for his role as a supermarket manager in the Albert Heijn commercials, he is also an actor, director and communication trainer. During the Management Business Fair, Harry will talk about his career and the challenges that came with it. In addition, Harry has a great deal of affinity with management and leadership and he tells you how you can best profile yourself. This is of course accompanied by a good dose of humor, so make sure you register!
CV check and professional photo
There is an opportunity to have your CV checked by one of the career officers and to have a professional photo taken for LinkedIn or your CV. You do not have to register for this either.
During the fair there are many more free activities and components that you can attend.
Lunch (Ground Floor Elinor Ostrom Building: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM)
A complimentary tapas lunch is served. You can pick up your badge at the information desk at the entrance of the Elinor Ostrom building. To reduce food waste, we expect you to attend lunch if you have registered. The registration link will be available from 9 January.
Networking sessions (The Yard: 2.30pm - 3.30pm)
You can sign up for different network sessions. During these sessions you have the opportunity to have a personal meeting with one of the companies during a 15 minute conversation.
Note the following: The company chooses which students they want to meet based on your resume. If you want to participate, please send your resume to careerservice@fm.ru.nl before Friday 17 February 12:00. We will then forward your CV to the company. On February 24 you will hear whether you are selected by the company and what time you are expected. If the company chooses you, you will be expected at this time. By registering for these sessions and sending your CV, you give us permission to forward your CV to the company you have applied for.
Networking drink (The Yard: 4 - 6 pm)
From 4 p.m. you can join all recruiters for a networking drink at the Werf. You can register at the information desk at the entrance of the Elinor Ostrom building during the fair to get your coins for the first drink. The fair was assessed last year with an average score of 7.4 and was experienced as an accessible, informal fair where you can get to know an organization in a pleasant way. Afterwards, the organizations selected several MBF visitors for their traineeship.
