On Monday, January 23, 2023 from 17.00 - 18.15 the New Year’s Event of Business Administration will take place in Theater Hall C in the Elinor Ostrom Building. You can also join the event via an online live stream.
The event will focus on the theme ‘Entrepreneurship in the Energy Transition’. After a word of welcome by department chairman Hans van Kranenburg, assistant professor Nanne Migchels will introduce three speakers. They all work in the field of energy transition. During the event they will tell more about entrepreneurship, sustainability and all the lessons they have learned from their sustainability initiatives.
The speakers are:
• Kevin Rijke, director of Industriepark Kleefse Waard (IPKW), the most sustainable business park in the Netherlands. IPKW is a 90-hectare work location in Arnhem where innovations are initiated. On the cleantech campus, a close-knit community of startups, established companies and educational organizations work together on technological innovations for a cleaner future.
• Maria Fennes, CEO of HyET Hydrogen, a company focused on making hydrogen easier, cheaper and more accessible as a fuel and storage medium. Maria talks about her growth path and mission to build HyET Hydrogen and HyET Solar into a commercial organization, selling its technology around the world.
• Anja van Niersen, CEO at Milence, an organization founded to accelerate and support the transition to zero-emission heavy transport in Europe. Among other things, they build and manage publicly accessible high power charging solutions for all electric trucks and buses in 30 countries of Europe.
After the substantive program (from 6:15 p.m. onwards), there will be a chance to talk further while enjoying a snack and a drink.
