Op dinsdag 14 mei vond de jaarlijkse Career Day weer plaats, dit jaar mocht een groep vol enthousiaste studenten naar Zwolle om daar langs te gaan bij Vitens en Unica en tussendoor ook nog te genieten van een boottochtje over de Zwolse wateren.

Batavierenrace 2019: Run Synergy, Run!

After weeks, if not months, of ‘preparations’ and waiting, last Friday, it was finally time for one of the most famous events of the year: the Batavierenrace! The Synergy Team was more than ready to conquer the 47th edition of the famous student relay-race, which starts in Nijmegen and goes all the way to Enschede in 25 stages, 175 kilometers in total.

Studying in Nijmegen: a story about two exchange students.

A few weeks ago, we met with two exchange students: Carlos from Spain (who studies at the Universidad de Valencia) and Dmitrii, who’s from Russia but studies at the University of Economics in Prague (Vysoká škola ekonomická for the true language fans). Both have come to Nijmegen this year to follow elective courses as part of their programme. We sat down with them on a quiet Sunday afternoon to interview them.

Of course, they have come a long way to come to Nijmegen, so we wanted to know a little bit more about why they wanted to come here in the first place.

Atlas Trip 2019: trip of the year (Zagreb)

Batavierenrace, a look into runners' preparations

Radboud by Night

Radboud by Night is a yearly event organised by the University Student Council (Universitaire Studentenraad) in collaboration with student organisation and Student Life. This year’s proceeds will go to a project in Jordan ‘Jong Jordanië: voorbereid op de banen van de toekomst’. This project is also supported by the Unicef Student Team Nijmegen.

Een kleine maand geleden had ik de kans om een lezing van Radboud Reflects bij te wonen betreffende een mogelijke ‘godspot’. ‘’Wat is dat dan?’’, zal je vast denken: kort gezegd was er de vraag of religie zijn basis heeft in het brein, en er dus een hersenkwab is die alle ‘religieuze zaken’ regelt. Zeer interessant dus, niet ten zeerste omdat ik zelf gelovig ben, maar ook omdat religie deze dagen steeds meer geassocieerd wordt met conflict, geweld en intolerantie.
