Without any doubt: Bitcoin is the buzzword of this moment. Blockchain, the technology underpinning the Bitcoin network, enables parties to transfer value in a fast, safe and trustworthy way without an intermediary. Fraud is near-impossible as every transaction is verified by multiple nodes in the network.
Bitcoin, Blockchain, cryptocurrencies and ICOs have been receiving significant attention, since they are considered a breakthrough innovations that could bring huge benefits to many different sectors and industries. All these terms differ in their meaning, but are very often - as a consequence of the hype - used in the wrong context. One thing is for sure: they are here to stay.
However, there are a lot of questions regarding these concepts: what is Bitcoin? How does a Bitcoin transaction work? How does Blockchain technology work? What can we use Blockchain technology for? Why are there so many cryptocurrencies? Which factors influence the price of Bitcoin? How do I keep my coins safe and secure? What are the best cryptocurrency wallets?
In order to answer these questions, and separate the hype from reality, Study Association Synergy is organizing an interactive masterclass ‘Bitcoin, Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies’ on the 16th of May. We have invited Badreddine Tazrouti to shed a light on the mechanics, insights and trends related to this topic. The masterclass ends with a quiz, covering what was discussed, with prizes for the winners 🎁.
