There will be a promotion stunt for the Synergy Weekend, which will take place from 3 to 5 March, on Monday the 6th of February! Come and decorate your own cake and eat it during the lunch break. The theme is tropical island. We are looking forward to all your beautifully decorated cakes, so hopefully see you then!
It’s time for the next Synergy Drink! The Drink will take place on Monday February 6th and the theme is (of course) Beer! Come and play the best beer games at Heidi's Skihut from 21:00! With, among other things, a free barrel and a beer pong tournament, we will make it an evening that you don’t want to miss. So in other words, gather all your Synergy friends and join the fun! There is no dress code. See you then! A cinema ticket will also be given away this evening.
Are you interested in joining one of our committees? Then join the Information Session for Active Membership at the 7th of February, during the lunch break! There will be a free lunch included. Active membership at Study Association Synergy means that you participate in one of the 21 committees that Synergy has. All committees have the purpose of organising or supporting activities for members of Synergy. The nature of the activities differs from informal activities to major career events. You can participate in an informal committee or a formal committee. Available committees: Ski Trip, Atlas Trip, Business Trip, Synergy Week, Orientation Week, Kick-Off, International, Community and Nijmegen Career Event Committee. On Wednesday, February 8th, it is time for the second years activity! A pool Game will be organised during this evening. Teams of two compete against each other. In addition, there is also time for darts. The first two drinks will be free. The activity costs €5 for members and €11,60 for non-members. It will begin at 19:00h and ends at 21:00h. February 8th is the day, a new (Pre-)Master's activity! On Wednesday evening, while enjoying a beer tasting, we invite you to test who knows the most about various diverse topics! Do you think you can win? You can sign up on your own or in pairs, threesomes and foursomes. In the end, teams of four will be made to compete against each other for great prizes! Do you want to party in another city in the Netherlands? Then you definitely have to go with the Synergy Party Night! On Thursday the 9th of February we will go partying in Breda. We will leave around 17:00h with the bus from Nijmegen and drive back around 02:30h . Because the bus has limited capacity, there are limited spots available. Full = Full, so register quickly! The theme of this evening is 007, so come in your most chique white and black clothing! The price for this amazing night out in Breda will be €19.50 for members and €34.20 for non-members. Are you ready to beat your fellow students with a game of padel? Then sign up now! The first half hour you will have the possibility to do some warming-up, after this we will play a tournament in pairs. You can address with who you would like to team up during the tournament. February 14 is Valentine's Day again! On this day you can pick up a free cheese board at the Synergy Office. This board is useful during your date. Be quick because up = up. There will also be a giveaway on this day. We will keep the gifts a secret for a while, but keep an eye on the socials in any case!
On Tuesday, February 14th, it is time to party again! Together with SPIN we organized a party that is all about Valentine’s Day! Do we see you at the SPiNergy Valentine’s party? It is an open party, so everyone is welcome. Take all your friends with you! We hope to see all of you here! The party will take place on the 14th of February at Café Van Buren from 23.00h. On Wednesday the 22nd of February, during the luchbreak, Avisi will tell us everything about impactful innovation by proces visualisation. Avisi is a company active with IT. The fourth (lustrum) edition of the Management Business Fair will take place on Tuesday 28 February! During this fair you can informally meet more than 30 organizations and visit an inspiring speech by Harry Piekema! But there is more than just networking with organizations. During the fair you can: Enjoy a free lunch Visiting the opening speech by none other than Harry Piekema Have your CV checked by one of the career officers Have your LinkedIn and CV profile picture taken by a professional photographer Attend a networking session to express your interest in an organization Enjoy a networking drink at the end of the fair The program: The fair will take place on the ground floor of the Elinor Ostrom Building from 1:15 PM - 4:00 PM. You do not have to register for the exhibition itself. You can walk around and talk to all the recruiters of the companies you are interested in. Opening lecture by Harry Piekema (Theaterzaal C: 12.30 - 13.15) The Management Business Fair will be festively opened by none other than Harry Piekema! He is not only known for his role as a supermarket manager in the Albert Heijn commercials, he is also an actor, director and communication trainer. During the Management Business Fair, Harry will talk about his career and the challenges that came with it. In addition, Harry has a great deal of affinity with management and leadership and he tells you how you can best profile yourself. This is of course accompanied by a good dose of humor, so make sure you register! CV check and professional photo There is an opportunity to have your CV checked by one of the career officers and to have a professional photo taken for LinkedIn or your CV. You do not have to register for this either. During the fair there are many more free activities and components that you can attend. Lunch (Ground Floor Elinor Ostrom Building: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM) A complimentary tapas lunch is served. You can pick up your badge at the information desk at the entrance of the Elinor Ostrom building. To reduce food waste, we expect you to attend lunch if you have registered. The registration link will be available from 9 January. Networking sessions (The Yard: 2.30pm - 3.30pm) You can sign up for different network sessions. During these sessions you have the opportunity to have a personal meeting with one of the companies during a 15 minute conversation. Note the following: The company chooses which students they want to meet based on your resume . If you want to participate, please send your resume to careerservice@fm.ru.nl before Friday 17 February 12:00. We will then forward your CV to the company. On February 24 you will hear whether you are selected by the company and what time you are expected. If the company chooses you, you will be expected at this time. By registering for these sessions and sending your CV, you give us permission to forward your CV to the company you have applied for. Networking drink (The Yard: 4 - 6 pm) From 4 p.m. you can join all recruiters for a networking drink at the Werf. You can register at the information desk at the entrance of the Elinor Ostrom building during the fair to get your coins for the first drink. The fair was assessed last year with an average score of 7.4 and was experienced as an accessible, informal fair where you can get to know an organization in a pleasant way. Afterwards, the organizations selected several MBF visitors for their traineeship. The first companies are known. Keep an eye on this page for updates!
