The location of the Ski Trip will be announced on Monday 3 October! To celebrate this and to get in the mood for the trip, chocolate milk with whipped cream is handed out during the lunch break. So come along to the Synergy Office and enjoy a delicious free hot chocolate milk!
During this second drink we will have another fun party in the El Sombrero from 9 PM. The theme is ‘fout’ and we will welcome you again with a ‘foute’ shot! Put on your worst outfit and enjoy a nice drink again. A free barrel will also be given away during this activity, so be on time! This activity is for Synergy members only and is of course free. Do you want to express your frustrations on your fellow students? That is possible during this active activity! On Thursday, October 6th, we are going to play paintball at Paintball Nijmegen (Meeuwseacker 2030). We will be meeting there at 2:15 PM, so be on time! The game lasts about 2 hours. The costs for paintball are €9 for members and €12.50 for non-members. After the paintball you also get a free drink from us! Do you want to stay up to date on the latest developments in the modern workplace? Than join our alumni event ‘The Modern Workplace’ at 6 October on campus or online. In three short keynotes of scientist Matthijs Moorkamp and Rawan Ghazzawi, and graduate Richard Vermeeren will inspire you with state of the art knowledge! Matthijs will explain the macro-concept: 'the modern workplace' and its impact on organisational design. How do new ways of organizing originate from high pressure innovation in crisis contexts? And if new ways of organising arise, what does this mean for how we shape our work and workplace? In this modern workplace, the employee and his/her/their wellbeing are increasingly put at the center of it. Rawan Ghazzawi dives deeper into what you can do to achieve a better match between your job and your needs and preferences through the concept of job crafting. Then we zoom out, because according to Richard Vermeeren the modern workplace is not something like sitting whole days behind a desk at your office bringing up brilliant ideas to improve your business. He highlights how to improve an organization by an outside-in approach. This event is hybrid, so you can join on campus or online. Master students can also join this event! After a successful evening playing pool with the (Pre-)Master students, it is time for the next activity. Relive your childhood, because on Tuesday 18 October we will have an evening of lasergaming at Laserquest Nijmegen! We will gather at 20:15 at the entrance of Laserquest and we will be busy for around an hour and a half. We will first play the game and afterwards we will enjoy a cold drink.
