Synergy Member Weekend

During the first weekend of October, we will be catching up on the lost Synergy Weekend of last May! The weekend will be filled with, fun activities, good food and amazing parties. The registrations will open september 8th at 12:30. This weekend is a weekend you can't miss! Members pay €48,- and non-members pay €108,16. Subscription will be open up untill the 26th of September. You can unsubscribe up until a week (September 24th) before the start of the activity. You will then receive back your money.

Join the NCE Committee

The aim of the Nijmegen Career Event Committee is to create an inspiring two-day event where students and companies can meet both formally and informally. Presentations and workshops are offered by companies and individual discussions. All these events allow participants to get acquainted in these two days. The Nijmegen Career Event is in collaboration with Study Association Synergy and the ESV, the committee consists of members of both associations. Want to join the NCE Committee? Synergy Drink: Holland!

The monthly drink in October will be completely devoted to our beautiful little country. Together we color Café van Buren orange and sing along with all the top Dutch music! Of course, this drink is not complete without a barrel of free beer! Since a maximum number of members can join this drink, you will have to subscribe via this website page this time! End of the Year Party 2020-2021

Dear (active) members, (G4, brother and sister) boards of 2020-2021 and previous Synergy boards, The past year has been one with ups and downs. Everyone has done their best to organize fun, interesting and useful events, despite restrictions and lockdowns due to COVID-19. We together have made this year unforgettable, by reinventing our events and way of working. However, during academic year 2020-2021, we have not been able to throw a proper party! Now that it is possible, we, the Synergy Board of 2020-2021 have the chance to make up for that! Everyone is welcome to make it an unforgettable evening, as a thank you for this unusual academic year! Also, adding selected boards from other associations, and the previous boards of Synergy, about 300 people are welcome to join us this evening! We will host the party at Hubert Nijmegen, located at the Sint Hubertusstraat 10 in Nijmegen. The theme is Dress to Impress – Black Tie Entrance is possible from 19.00 onwards, and at 00.00 we will have to be gone. The entrance is free! The Lustrum Gala will have a new date: on the 12th of May, we will organise our Lustrum Gala, which you can not miss. Make sure to block everything in your calendar that day, and just to be sure the morning after in case of a possible hangover. More information and the start of ticket sale will follow soon.

The time has finally arrived, Synergy is throwing a celebration dinner to further kick off the lustrum celebrations! Even though the Lustrum gala has been postponed, you can still wear  your best suit or clothes because this dinner will be very fancy as well. The dresscode will hence be: casual chic ! Alumni Lecture & Barbecue: Business Models

*This event is only available to alumni, master's students and teachers from Bedrijfskunde/ Business Administration*  It’s on!  Due to the relaxation of the COVID measures, we’re allowed to present the first alumni event of this academic year. On Friday 8 October, Armand Smits will present his view on innovations in business models (in Dutch), after which we’ll enjoy a barbecue and networking drinks with our alumni. 5:30 PM: Walk-in 5:45 PM: Business models lecture (in Dutch) by Armand Smits ( EOS N01.610 ) 6:45 PM: Barbecue & networking drinks with alumni (Cultuurcafé) Sign up for the lecture and/or barbecue and drinks through this form . Management Madness

The first MANAGEMENT MADNESS party will take place on Wednesday the 13th of October! This is a party organized by all the study associations of the Faculty of Management Sciences. The theme is Black & Gold and the party will take place in the 3G and in Heidi's Skihut. It promises to be a wonderful evening, so make sure you're there! The presale is on October 5 physically on the ground floor in the hallway in EOS and tickets will cost €1,- there. At the door on the evening itself it will cost €2,-. You can also sign up now via our website. The tickets will also be available for €1,- but you have to pick up your ticket at Synergy Office before Wednesday October 13th 17:00h   You can unsubscribe up until 24 hours before the start of the activity. In preparation for the Nijmegen Career Event 2021, ITrainee will host an interesting workshop. This workshop will focus on discovering the different personality types. Within any organization you will have to work together with people with different kind of personalities. Why is it important to take this into account and what is the best way to deal with it? We will explore this further in this workshop. We discuss the different personality types that we can distinguish and discover which type best suits your personality. Learn to understand yourself and others better in order to communicate more effectively in teams.

Cantus

Many games of chance are offered where you can sit down in your neatest evening clothes. At the start you will receive chips to play with. If you're not lucky and all your chips are lost? Deloitte Students Hockey Trophy

It took a while, but on Friday 15 October it's that time again: the Deloitte Students Hockey Trophy! The tournament takes place at SV Kampong in Utrecht. We start with preliminary rounds and at the end of the day the final is played. Register your team now!  Register your team now Compete with your student team for a place in the final. You can sign up for the 11 vs 11 mixed tournament (minimum 5 women or 5 men) or the 6 vs 6 mixed tournament (minimum 2 women or 2 men). As a team captain you register your team. After your registration you will receive an email with a registration link for your entire team and with more information. Will we see you October 15 in Utrecht? The tournament is offered by Deloitte, you don't pay a participation fee!  A fantastic experience We provide a top program:  You play against teams from all over the Netherlands Take part in the best challenges in between: ao hockey pong, teamwork challenge, a "smart" obstacle course  Deloitte organizes a dressing room session, which is really worth it  Of course there is a photo booth for an unforgettable team photo  And...a barbecue with drinks should of course not be missing, brought to you by Deloitte.  Jip Janssen, Xan de Waard, Billy Bakker and Mirco Pruyser - players of the Dutch hockey team - are also present. WhyNCE Workshop: LinkedLabels

On the 18th of October, we will take care of your lunch and LinkedLabels will host a workshop in preparation for the Nijmegen Career Event 2021. During this workshop, the specialists of LinkedLabels will make you acquainted with the world behind all of the fancy-looking and complicated function titles we come across when searching for a job. LinkedLabels consists of five companies, the so-called labels. Each label specializes in recruitment & selection and secondment in a specific field. During this workshop they will share their knowledge with you so you will know what function you are applying for! Sign up for the workshop to be prepared for applications in the future.

Talent Program Selection Day by Young Colfield

*Unfortunately this activity is only for Dutch speaking students* Sign up for the selection day of Young Colfield on Thursday October 21th starting from 12:00h until 17:00h! The selection day is the last step in the selection process for their Talent Program. Young Colfield organizes about 7 selection days per year. If you want to participate in the upcoming selection day, make sure you apply before the 27th of September. If you are present at their Inhouseday on Wednesday 29 September, they will give you a few extra days to apply. This way you still have enough time to go through the preselection rounds. These preselection rounds consist of the ability test, the first meeting with their Talent Connector Jasper and the second meeting with their Talent Manager Anneloes.
